I'm Still Alive, I Swear!

Hey guys! Yes, I know I've been away for a while, but it will get better! (I hope...) Anyway, the reason I haven't been able to post anything lately is because I'm a sophomore at a really tough school that requires sport credits every year. That means that on top of all my schoolwork, which is a lot, I am required to join a sports team. I am on crew, and practice is every day for two hours. I also live an hour away from said school. Basically, I leave my house every day at 6:30 and get home at 7:45. Great right? Then this is me most of the time in my classes:
So yeah, I don't have a ton of time to do, well, anything. On that note, I have to go write a formal lab report that's due tomorrow and a persuasive essay, so I'm gonna go. But before I do, I just wanted to let you all know that if you are interested, I am doing designs for a website called redbubble.com. Again, I don't have much time to do my designs, so only one is up at the moment, but I will be adding more soon, hopefully. Here's the link to my profile if you're interested:

Instead of a quote this time, I'll leave a picture and a link to a song.
This is cute. I'm a sucker for cute things.

Update!!

Ok, so really quick, here's some news relating to this blog.
1. I've changed the name to Random Topics because its not a weekly thing anymore.
2. The URL for the blog now is randomtopicsoftheweekbymorganwaas.blogspot.com. I'm thinking of changing it from that to just randomtopics.blogspot.com or something similar. This change will probably happen in a few weeks, so if you can't find the page, try that.
That's all the really important stuff.

I also just wanted to tell you all that I have started making designs for a website called RedBubble.com. Right now, I only have one design up, for sale as an iPad case, but I will be making it available for iPod/iPhone as well. I will also be putting up more designs in the near future. I have a notebook that I've been sketching in lately with any ideas I have. If you want to check out my profile, here is the link: http://www.redbubble.com/people/morganwaas4444

No one judge me on my username-creating skills. I just don't feel like being creative sometimes, so I just use my name.

Last thing for today. My brother just showed me this video on YouTube, and I thought it was absolutely hilarious. I've watched it like 7 times since he showed me this afternoon. It's called Bee and PuppyCat. Here is the link if you want to check it out:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOG_UtLxh58

If you can't tell, I recently figured out how to put links on here. I am technologically challenged.

Ok, that's all for this time. Have a great life! Leave me a comment of what you want to see next or send me an email. Truly, I would love to hear from you guys and I know you're out there. I have seen my page views. Here's your quote:(speaking of which, the quotes might not always be quotes, they might just be funny pictures that I've found. Enjoy.)
For those of you who don't know, that is Alex Kingston. She plays River Song in Doctor Who. She is just all around a great actress, and her character in DW is incredibly sassy and funny.

Things I'm Bad At

OK, first of all, no one yell at me for not posting for a while. I had school, then I was gone for 3 weeks, and then I was too lazy to type things.
Alrighty then, now that thats done with, we'll get on to the post. This was inspired by YouTuber Jenna Marbles's video "Things I Suck At" You can check it out here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hoCDtvcVUpE Personally, I love Jenna Marbles's videos. She's sarcastic and quite hilarious. So, I'm gonna list some things that I also suck at, and some of them are the same as hers, but some of them are kinda weird. If you want examples of any of these things, I'd be happy to make you a quick video and show you, just put your request in the comments.
1. I'm terrible at cutting things in half. I took geometry last year, and you know how you have to draw shapes and stuff for homework, yeah, I couldnt do that. This also applies to sandwiches, apples, and everything else on Earth.
2. I'm bad at painting my right hand's fingernails. And also doing anything with my left hand. Even typing gets a little sketchy. You should see what it looks like before I use the delete button.
3. I absolutely can't draw on a computer's paint program. It just doesn't work.
4. I'm awful at tucking in the corners of my bed stuff when I change my sheets. The sheets just come off of the corners after I sleep once.
5. I suck at packing suitcases. I have to get my mom to do it every time.
6. I'm even worse at repacking that suitcase when I'm coming back home.
7. I cant give high fives. Ever. I miss every time.
8. I never remember to put my clothes in the laundry bin. As I'm typing, there's like two days worth of clothes on my floor.
9. Whenever we have leftover night at my house, and I have to put the food back in the fridge, I can't ever get anything to fit.
10. I can't play any sport involving a ball. One time, we were playing floor hockey at school, and I got hit in the face. At least three times.
11. I always forget to erase dry erase boards, like in my locker and stuff, so I cant ever get the marker off of the board. Ever.
OK, well its starting to get a little long and also Im tired, so I'll just leave you with your quote. This ones kinda weird, and its not really a quote at all, but I didn't have anything better. This is from King Arthur in BBC's Merlin, played by the wonderful Bradley James, one of the few blonde men I am attracted to. (Nothing against blondes, I just prefer darker hair.)

What things are you bad at? What's your favorite quote? Tell me in a comment. Also, just a heads-up, updates will be a bit sporadic forever because I always have stuff going on.

Im Back Everyone!

Ok, so I know I said i wasn't gonna post anymore, but I got bored and checked my pageviews, and I had 52 in the past MONTH!!! So then I felt guilty and decided to start posting again, probably Saturdays again. So I saw this picture:
And I thought it was hilarious, so Im gonna talk a little about John Barrowman (aka Captain Jack Harkness from Doctor Who and Torchwood for anyone who doesn't know) I dont really know that much about him in all honesty, but I do know that he is an American actor and he has a great character in both shows.(I havent actually watched Torchwood, but i assume that Jack's about the same in both. On that note, would any of you recommend Torchwood for me to watch? Im kinda in between shows since Netflix hasnt posted the new Doctor Who or Merlin seasons yet) So, you guys can pick my next topic, sorry this is so short. Make sure to leave a comment or email me with anything you'd like to say. Im glad I can tell that someone at least looks at my posts. Thanks you guys!!
Quote of the week:
PS I will make a photo edit(I can do simple ones) of your choice for the first person to tell me what two things this next picture is a crossover from(be specific)

PPS This is pretty much the only thing I can do with pictures:

quick little talk

Hello everyone. If you haven't noticed, I haven't posted a post in 2 weeks, and I just wanted to tell you that that will continue. Honestly, I'm sick of asking questions or talking about random stuff that has the potential to ignite conversation and then checking the stats for the blog and seeing ZEROS all over the place for the comments. I KNOW people read this because I DO have page views, and so I KNOW IM NOT CRAZY. If you cant tell by the capitals, IM REALLY FREAKING ANNOYED. So Im not going to post ANYTHING until I get some responses. And to be nice, Im leaving you all with 2 lists:

3. What do you like to do on Saturdays?
4. Are you still in school?(I am)
5. Who is your favorite author?
6. Do you like mammals or reptiles better?
7. What is your ideal date night?
8. What's your favorite TV show?

ANNOUNCEMENT

Hello, everyone or anyone who reads this blog. Last week, after my random little cat rant, I made an announcement about sending in ideas because I have no imagination. If you did not read that post because of the cats, please go do that now. The announcement is below the cats, just scroll down until you see it. I think it starts off with "After that weird rant" or something like that. Anyway, the last time I checked, I had received no ideas from anyone. However, I am inclined to forgive you because maybe some people didnt want to read about cats last week. So, I am giving you until next Saturday, February 9, to give me some ideas. If not, this blog will probably turn into something about my personal obsession with Doctor Who, Merlin, and Lord of the Rings. So Get Busy! On a different note, I am beginning to teach myself how to play the cello. I will try to post a video of that sometime during the week if I make any more progress. Also, if anyone knows any good cello music or tips or whatever, please send me a link to those as well. Thanks! So, remember to send in ideas for next week's post. In case you don't know, you can send emails to morganwaas@yahoo.com. Thanks everyone, and I'll talk to you next week!
Here's our quote, from the 11th Doctor, Matt Smith, from The Beast Below:
Oh, and here's Matt Smith, for anyone who doesn't know who he is(you poor deprived people):

Cats and David Tennant

Hey everyone! I hope all you Americans out there had a fun Martin Luther King, Jr. Day! So today, I want to talk about cats. I personally love cats, I have five, and they all have great and hilarious personalities. My first cat is named Zeus, and he's really fat.
He is really sweet, though, and I like to put costumes on him. The others are Dexter, Pumpkin, Bilbo, and Athena. I don't really have any good pictures of them, though. Actually, I lied. Here's Athena
So, many people think that cats are all mean and annoying, but sometimes they aren't. Actually, all of my cats except Athena are sweet and adorable. Sometimes, they can be annoying, like when they walk all over your computer or the piano or whatever they decide to do. Also, sometimes they attack your shoes-which is weird. Also, they can actually attack you, which is also annoying. Zeus in particular gets annoying at about 5 am if you don't feed him. He comes onto the bed and bites your knuckles and/or face. If he bites the knuckles, he also shakes your hand around. Basically, his idea is that if there isn't any food for him to eat, he will just eat you instead.

So after that weird little rant, you can probably tell that I had no idea what to talk about today. Honestly, I am really bad at figuring out what to write about every week, so when I ask you all for suggestions, I REALLY mean it. If you don't send in some ideas for me, soon I will just have to resort to talking about the combined sexiness of David Tennant, Colin Morgan, and Bradley James. And trust me, I have enough pictures of those three to last for a few months worth of blogs. And OH YES, I do mean it.

Yeah, no one wants that-except for me. And all the other Doctor Who and Merlin fangirls out there. So please, I'm not even sure how many people, if any, read this blog, but if you read it and you don't want to see pictures of male actors covering the page, I suggest you send me some ideas. NOW. Via email or comment. That is your ultimatum. So anyway, now for this week's quote from the amazing David Tennant. LEAVE COMMENTS EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

YouTube and other Time-Wasters

Hey everyone! Sorry about the lack of a post yesterday, I wasn't at home for most of the day. So anyway, today I want to talk about the ways I waste time when I'm supposed to be doing homework or other things. Here are some of my personal favorites:
1. YouTube! I go onto YouTube and start watching videos, and then I find more videos that look interesting and watch them too. This whole cycle keeps repeating in a downward spiral of depression and procrastination. Some of my favorite time-wasters on YouTube are Shane Dawson, Jenna Marbles,  Smosh, and Tobuscus.
2. Smosh.com. Continuing on the thread of Smosh, Smosh.com has some of the weirdest articles and lists on the Internet. The best(or maybe worst) part of this is that at the end of every article, there is a list of links to related articles that you can look at to waste even more time!
3. I also like Tumblr, but only one of the blogs. That is called Lonely-Soles, and it is a blog of fantastic shoes that are amazing but, alas, do not exist yet.
4. The last way I waste time is Facebook, which is probably the worst because some of the pages post links to other articles, and then you click on those and those have more links to other articles and it just keeps going, but is pretty great.
So thats pretty much it for me. There will be a normal post next Saturday since I'm not busy. What are your favorite time wasters? Let me know in the comments or send me an e-mail.
Quote for the week: "The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things or make them unimportant." -The Doctor, "Vincent and the Doctor"
Also, sorry I forgot to post a quote last week, so here's a kitty in a top hat:

Studying

Hey everyone! Today's post is going to be pretty short because I'm in the process of studying for my midterm exams, which is terrible and long and had way too many essays. So, obviously, I'm going to talk about studying. Now, I don't normally study for much. In fact, the only subject I DO study for is biology- its really hard. But my exams have me studying much more than usual. Here is a list of stuff that I have to do to prepare for my midterms next Tuesday-Friday (Monday is a study day):
For World History:
1. Make a total of 75 vocab notecards
2. Prepare a 5 Paragraph essay on religion
For Spanish:
1. Look over my review sheet
For Math(geometry):
1. Look over review sheet
2. Make sure I have a calculator
3. Know critical terms
For English 1:
1. Look at PowerPoints online
2. Prepare TWO 5 paragraph essays, each with 3 quotations per body paragraph (18 quotes)
3. Make a notecard for each essay containing above mentioned 18 quotes
4. Make sure I know my characters
For Biology:
1. Make around 30 notecards from review sheet
2. Look over old tests
3. Do genetics problems

So, as you can see, I'll be pretty busy this weekend. Wish me luck and make sure to leave a comment or send me an e-mail telling me what you'd like me to do next week. See you later!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Hey, everyone! I know its a bit late but I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Hannukah, Kwanzaa! Sorry to any other holidays I missed, but Happy Them too! And also, Happy New Year!!! 2013 is going to be a big year for me. I'm turning 15 this month, getting my learners' permit, going to Europe this summer, and finishing my first year in high school! Not to mention that the second part of The Hobbit will be out in December! I'm really excited by that, if you can't tell by my overuse of exclamation points. Anyway, here are a few things I'm planning to do this year:
1. Be more consistent with posting, both here and on my book review blog (bookreviewsbymorganwaas.blogspot.com)
2. Write my book! Yes, I am working on a novel, and I have been for a few years. Sadly, I've realized that everything I wrote in the past year or so is absolute garbage. If anyone has any ideas for either dreams/nightmares or ways to die, please tell me. (Just rough ideas please)
3. I'm thinking of doing videos on my YouTube channel. Is that a good idea? Maybe not, but I'll try anyway. The videos will probably be music-based or some of my book reviews put into video form. One is already up, it is called Morgan Waas playing "River Flows in You" by Yiruma. Check it out! Oh, and feel free to mock me as much as you'd like for my awful titles.
OK, well that's all for tonight, and I'll leave you with your quote. This week it comes from "The Two Towers" by J.R.R. Tolkein, which I am currently rereading:
"But slowly, very slowly. Very carefully! Or hobbits go down to join the Dead ones and light little candles. Follow Smeagol! Don't look at the lights!" Smeagol, The Two Towers, The Passage of the Marshes
PS Most of these quotes will probably be from books, movies, or TV Shows
PPS What do you want to see on my blog to make it better? Let me know!
